Grant Edwards is Founder and Managing Director of Trudant Executive Services, Inc.
Grant brings to Trudant over 20 years of strategic and tactical financial management experience and business leadership in the corporate world as well as with entrepreneurial organizations. He is an expert in business planning, finance operations, corporate governance and compliance, strategic planning, P&L management and has a keen talent for identifying market opportunities for emerging companies.
Grant has been the CFO for multiple early-stage companies, many of which had successful exits. These companies account for an array of different industries including energy, entertainment, medical technology, receivables factoring and executive travel.
Before founding Trudant, Grant served as Vice President, Corporate Controller & Treasurer for Harbinger Group, Inc. where he managed all finance, accounting, and treasury functions for this NYSE-listed company, while contributing as a member of the Disclosure, Pension and 401K Committee. He also served as Senior Director of SEC Reporting and Corporate Controller for Shionogi & Co. (formerly Sciele Pharma), where he launched all accounting policies and procedures designed to shepherd the company through a period of massive growth, from $100MM to over $500MM in annual revenue.
His Big 4 CPA experience includes positions with both Deloitte & Touche and Arthur Andersen.
Grant received a Master’s in Accounting from East Carolina University. He holds CPA licenses in Georgia and North Carolina. He has been a long-term adjunct professor of accounting at Georgia State University.
